2017 Candidate Information Packet for the 2018 Seabrook Island Property Owners Association Election
Thank you for considering candidacy for election to the SIPOA Board of Directors or SIPOA Nominating Committee.
This information packet has been assembled by the Nominating Committee to assist prospective candidates in making an informed decision on whether to begin the application process. Those who decide to pursue a nomination will need to complete the included forms.
This packet contains the following items:
- A list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the election process and service on either the Board or Nominating Committee. Information is included on the timeline for the election process, including important deadlines and dates; a description of time commitments involved in serving on either body; guidelines that the Nominating Committee will use in selecting candidates; and other important documents of which candidates should be aware;
- A short list of links to additional online documents that are valuable for prospective candidates to briefly review;
- A video interview of past SIPOA Board presidents Chuck Fox and Janet Gorski discussing aspects of their service on the Board that are valuable for prospective candidates to know; and
- A folder containing the Nominee Form and Conflict of Interest Form, and guidelines for preparing a brief biographical statement and optional position paper for review by the Committee.
Members of the Nominating Committee are available to answer any questions property owners might have and to assist them in completing the necessary forms.
